Secondary mower fixed. The four main posts that hold the mower deck to the tractor had to be welded. I added extra weld around the surrounding area to beef up the metal that the posts attached too.

Tomorrow I'll be out to the field to re-mow the runways, mow the parking lot and spectator areas with the secondary mower and whipper snip around the fence again. The field is starting to look really good again.

If anyone wants to come out and help give me a call tomorrow at 902-791-0581.

Bruce

Sorry Bruce. I'd planned with Carolyn to go up and play with the new mower, but amber had a rough night  :-/

Up at 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00 and finally 6:00. and each of those was a 1/2 wander. she really wasn't feeling too good.

So sleepwise I wasn't in much shape either..

when will the mowing list be posted?

Just a note for those who weren't there (and correct me if I'm wrong, Bruce) but the new mower is reserved for the runways only. The older mower is to be used for the pits and the parking area.

There's lots of time to sleep when you get back. Let the games begin! And by the way Sandy, Bruce has the mowing list and should post it either later tonight or tomorrow.

Your absolutely correct Steve. Thanks for posting. Got a call out tonight and just got back home. I'll send a general email out within a day or two to list some of the changes to the pit area etc.

Summary here:

The starting tables will now be stored by the shed. If you wish to use one,  just wheel it out to your starting area in the pits. When finished at the end of the day please put the table back in the storage area. This will allow more room in the pits and make it easier for mowing.

Also, when using the chairs please return them to their storage area by the shed instead of leaving them around the pit area.

The New Mower is Only to be used for the Runways. Less rocks longer lasting machine and sharp blades for a nicely groomed runway. I'll send the key location in an email as well as starting instructions. For grass height one notch above the low setting is best.

The secondary mower is fixed and running excellent. It will be used for the pits, parking lot and spectator area.

The mowing list will be out soon. An additional chore will be to move the starting tables back from their storage area to mow the grass underneath when it becomes untidy. At least the tables will be in one place and shouldn't take long to move.

That's it for now. The parking lot, spectator area, pits's, whipper snipping and runways were done again today (Tuesday). With the exception of a few bumps and some dead grass patches the field is looking pretty good. If anyone gets out tomorrow there are some grass clippings on the field that could be gathered up. I left the grass catcher on the mower if you feel incline to gather them up. Please dump the clippings on the back edge of the parking lot along the big ditch.

Thanks guys. Let's hope for some warmer weather and lower winds.

Bruce
